Poiana is the largest of the resorts (open all year round) that offers great hotel accommodation and well cared for pistes. Sinaia and Predeal being smaller in hotel capacity but they have more pistes available.
Due to low cost flight into Bucharest the resorts are once again attractive for those wanting to ski on a budget for as long as you wish. The journey from Bucharest to Brasov and the Transylvanian Carpathians is approximately 3 hours but via gorgeous mountainous scenery.
