St Julians has everything you could possible want from a summer holiday and a winter holiday. St Julians is a year round resort as the weather in malta is superb all year. So if you want good nightlife on holiday St Julians is the place, also if you want a relaxing holiday again St Julians is that perfect holiday destination.

Holidays to St Julian's. Traditional summer breaks in a traditional Maltese town.

There's no question about it – St Julian's is the centre of Malta's tourist boom. But don't think for a moment that it's anything like the Spanish Costas. Yes, it has the full compliment of apartments and hotels, from your basic B&B to your five star luxury. Yes, it's got a seafront lined with souvenir shops and chic boutiques, cafes and bars, restaurants and takeaways. And yes, it simply drips sunshine and sparkling sea. Oh, and the nightlife is as hot as anywhere else on the Med. But St Julian's isn't your run of the mill resort.

Colourful Maltese luzzus bob in the harbour, right next to the speed boats that'll take you waterskiing. Honey coloured town houses line the streets and sit alongside seafront hotels like the Hotel Hilton Malta or Le Meridien St Julian's. Bars and cafes are draped in bougainvilleas, beside the paved promenade. You come here for the straightforward sun, sea and fun break, but St Julian's holidays the added bonus of a beautiful backdrop.

You'll know by the tide of glad-rags moving in the same direction where the nightlife is – Paceville. Its endless selection of clubs, discos and bars keep people coming back night after night. St Julian's is lively enough, with eateries for all kinds of taste buds and wallet size! Or for that classier night out, cruise over the bay to the capital, Valletta, or head off the Dragonara Point Casino.

St Julians is all about fun and has become a popular resort with young couples and singles. Added to this are the surrounding towns of Valletta and Sliema which offer something extra from shopping to sight seeing. The more adventurous can venture inland or around the impressive coastline to discover more about the island of Malta.

St. Julians is located immediately north of Sliema on Maltas eastern coast and includes the areas ofPaceville pronounced Patchy ville, St Georges Bay, Spinola Bay, Portomaso. St Julians is 8km from Valletta St Julians is a very popular resort for singles and couples of any age as it can cater for all tastes with both quiet and lively areas.

St Julians eating out If you want to eat out with a fabulous view then head to the restaurants along the the seafront at Spinola. The nightlife area of Paceville is full of fast food outlets. Wander arround the side streets for better quality restaurants. The Casino has a good restaurant. There is a nice garden open to the public near Spinola Palace and Tourist information office with a restaurant in the corner of the garden.

St Julians seafront is in three layers. A bed of flatish rocks just above sea level with areas suitable for sunbathing & swimming. At a higher level you find a park, children's play areas toilets, and an occasional cafe. At the top level is the promenade most of which is flat. In some areas the promenade is very wide with cafes and bars, in others a normal town centre pavement width. Across the busy road are hotels, shops, bars, restaurants and private residences. Because most of St Julians is based around St Julians Bay, which includes the smaller bays, Spinola Bay, Balluta Bay and Exiles Bay the views are improved by the buildings at the far side of the bay. Spinola Bay is quite a narrow bay and the Spinola side (Paceville) is lined with restaurants At the head of the bay is an interesting and photogenic area where the fishermen pull out there boats onto a concrete platform and repair or paint them in the usual bright colours. You will also find a lido - open air swimming pool and 2 water polo areas. Ensure you find Portomaso marina it's hidden away and not easy to see. There are lifts or stairs down to the harbour from the the top of the hill near the Hilton hotel and the towering office block is also inthe same area.

St Julians Beaches there are no sandy beaches at St Julians. Most of the shoreline consists of rocks with areas of fairly flat rocks that you can sunbathe on.Swimming and snorkeling from the rocks is very popular. There are plenty of places where you can jump into deeper water to get into the sea, but ensure that there is somewhere to get out. Some rocks are very sharp. Also beware of the black sea urchins spines - they hurt and break off leaving there fine point in the skin which usually turns septic if not removed. We recommend wearing an old pair of light weight trainers or similar to assist in getting in or out of the sea

Shopping in St. Julians The Bay Street shopping centre in St Georges bay is excellent. There are a selection of shops in the Paceville area.Nearby Sliema is renowned for it's shops.

Nightlife in St Julians can be split into 2 areas central St. Julian's basically along the seafront, and Paceville. Paceville is an area of St Julians on the northern side of St. Julians, but it has an entirely different nightlife to that of St Julians as follows: Paceville - Vibrant & energetic with loud music, for the young and young at heart. St Julians has a very interesting and generally more sedate nightlife for those requiring a more relaxed nightlifeThere are fair number of bars and clubs that are exceptions to the general description above in both areas.

Sports in St. Julians Scuba Diving for beginners and experienced divers is available from Diving schools along the sea front on Tower Road Snorkeling in the sea. Many hotels & aparthotels have their own sporting facilities.
