Kalithea is known mainly by the locals not the tourists, the beach in Kalithea is where many locals like to gather at the weekend. The attraction is due to Kalithea Beaches and coves being close to Rhodes Town and and the tiny inlets and coves with their sculptured rocks and clear sea water with snady beaches make it an ideal place to sunbath and have a BBQ within the shaded woods.
Kalithea is approx 6KM from Faliraki, if you drive towards Faliraki and take the first dirt track to the left. Then, by following the signs guiding you to the various small eating holes in the area, you will reach a series of pine-covered bays and coves, with stone pools and rocks you can dive from. Kalithea is a good base if you want to explore the Island as Rhodes Town and the other Resorts in the North of Rhodes are not to far away
